!! Information on current situation (Update December 22, 2020) !!
Important additional news for international applicants: see below
Dear current and future students,
because of the current situation, we have to cancel our open consultation hours and telephone service until further notice.
You can send your requests to our e-mail address:
studienberatung-medizintechnik@fau.de
Please note that delays may occur.
We ask you not to send multiple e-mails concerning the same topic to us or other FAU institutions.
Update December 22, 2020: All institutions of FAU’s administration are still closed to the public.
Please note also that almost all of FAU’s employees are on holiday from December 24, 2020, at least until January 6, 2021.
Please also check the following website: www.fau.info/corona (for English version, click the button in the upper right corner).
Update September 16, 2020: The lectures for the Winter Semester 2020/21 are offered online (mostly exclusively) until further notice, even if the lecture entries in the UnivIS system specify a lecture hall.
Please read the information on the courses in UnivIS carefully!
Please visit also – if necessary – our page about the welcome events (Winter 2020/21).
To all international students (prospective and accepted, update December 22, 2020):
We do not recommend to come to Germany at the moment!
If you have to go to quarantine, we cannot assist you!
The Winter Semester 2020/21 can be studied online. For the exams, however, it is not sure yet whether they can be held online. In case you have to come to Germany for the exams, you can use the “Confirmation of obligation to attend university in person in the winter semester 2020/21”, that comes with your admission letter, for applying for the visa.
At the moment (at least until January 10, 2021), Germany is in a ‘hard lockdown’ again. The mail/post and similar services, however, work regularly and will deliver your application documents.
Please do not send any documents – also not by e-mail – to the study advisory service!
Please read also the information about the certification of documents.
Please note that we cannot update this page with all new regulations coming up at the moment; have a look at http://www.fau.info/corona, which is maintained by FAU’s central administration, instead.
We are sorry for the inconveniences.
Best regards.
Felix Schmutterer and Tino Haderlein
