Structure of the Master’s Program: Flexible schedules
In our Master degree program of Medical Engineering, students have the possibility to design their studies based upon their interests. Apart from very few mandatory modules (potential conditional subjects and mandatory electives, which are marked with footnotes in your course catalog) there is no dictated schedule. The study plan template only informs you how many ECTS credit points you must achieve in each module group during your studies:
- 10 credits for module group M1
- 20 credits for module group M2
- 20 credits for module group M3
- 5 credits for M4/Advanced Seminar Medical Engineering
- 10 credits for module group M5
- 10 credits worth of practical/lab modules for module group M6
- 10 credits for module group M7
- 5 credits for module group M8
- (30 credits for the master’s thesis).
You arrange an individual schedule each semester yourself by selecting modules of your catalog and attending the corresponding classes, which you can look up on www.campo.fau.de. Please identify the catalog which corresponds to your examination regulation (FPO) and your chosen specialization. You can access it by clicking on the corresponding button on the left hand section of this page. Please read your module catalog very carefully, especially the footnotes!
