Our Pattern Recognition Lab under the lead of Prof. Andreas Maier has teamed up with physicians from our Department of Rheumatology and Immunology and the Institute of Radiology at our university hospital to improve the diagnosis of arthritis in patience by using neural networks. Read more about their project here. Would like to dive deeper into the possibilities of machine learning in medical diagnostics? Then you shouldn’t miss Professor Maiers course “Diagnostic Medical Image Processing” (and many more) this winter semester! Research projects and final theses at the Pattern recognition Lab can be found here.
